Making Adsense Pay
6738 Internet > Adsense Mar 1, 2007 Lisa Ann Ginger Making Adsense Pay One of the most fundamental truths about making money with adsense is you really need some traffic. Even more so, the traffic should be free or very, very inexpensive.

The problem with adsense is, in most cases, you?re not going to make a whole lot of money off the clicks you get. Even worse, many of the visitors coming to your site aren?t going to click on your ads.

Here?s an example of a better than average adsense page on a website. For this example, let?s suppose you?ll get 10 cents a click. Out of every 100 visitors, typically 20 will click on an ad. That means you have a click-thru rate of 20%. So for every 100 visitors you can get to your site, you?re going to make $2.00. That?s it!

What does that tell you?

Well, you better not spend more than $2.00 for every 100 visitors you get to your site. That?s for sure. If you do, you?ll be in the hole so to speak. This pretty much mean pay-per-click and banner advertising are out. The best kind of traffic for you to make a profit is free traffic and lots of it!

So how can you start getting traffic to your site without spending a ton of money on advertising? Well, there?s always the search engines. I?m sure you know all about using search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to help get your website to rank high in Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

One thing?s for sure with SEO, it doesn?t happen overnight. Not by a long shot.

So what?s another way to get a boost of traffic, and get it quickly? Well, writing articles can help do the trick. You write an article, submit it to all the article directories and cross your fingers that it gets picked up at a few highly trafficked sites. Hopefully the people visiting those sites will read your article and click on your resource box at the end.

It works. But it?s something everyone knows about and does all the time. Anything else?

Well, actually there is another technique for getting traffic to your site quickly and best of all, for free! It?s highly under-used so it works rather well. What is it, you ask?

Simply enough, you get traffic by piggybacking off highly trafficked sites! But this isn?t your typical link exchange. These sites actually want your content (and want it badly) so you don?t have to beg them to link to you.

Are you ready to learn more about these types of highly trafficked sites and how to get them to link to you? Then you need to learn a few Tagging Secrets -- start generating traffic to your sites virtually on demand.
