Spain has been a popular destination for holidaymakers for many years. People are attracted to the relaxed atmosphere, the sunny temperature, vibrant culture, exotic food and the warm sandy beaches. Of course, certain parts of Spain are far more appealing than other parts, depending on the individuals taste and expectation. For example, Madrid attracts those after a more cosmopolitan culture, whereas Majorca attracts those looking to relax more on the beach and enjoy the scenery. With the property market rising, Javea has become a safe haven for many retired Brits. Javea property market has been the key subject of this attraction, for some British people to settle in this region. Prices are affordable and the property is built at a high standard. Javea is a seaport situated on the Costa Blanca, one of the most popular destinations due to its magnificent views and beautiful beaches. Fogueres de San Juan is celebrated in June, which commemorates the arrival of summer solstice. Moros y Cristianos (July) is a much more noisy and colourful parade that celebrates the defeat of the Moors by the Christian army in 13th century. Finally, Nuestra Senora de Loreto (September) is probably better known for its famous bull running against the walls and fireworks display - a tradition popularly associated with the Spanish culture. Locals can also enjoy a range of recreational activities, including cycling, mountain trekking, sailing, diving, swimming, bowls, photography, golf, horse riding and trekking. Javea offers a number of rental shops that cater for each of these activities for everyone.
