How to turn Affiliate Marketing into a Business
The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you can use affiliate programs and start affiliate marketing straight away. In almost any other business you have to spend a lot of time and effort involved in sourcing, updating and replacing products. This all costs money. Only then can you start to market them. My affiliate program is affiliate marketing - that's all. You see, if I am promoting a product that does not sell, I drop it and get another one. Needless to say, I make sure that I have marketed the product as well as I can first. My affiliate program involves digital products My affiliate program in affiliate marketing involves digital products only at present. I am ready to consider physical products where the market is not too competitive, but in most cases the products that sell are very competitive - and the commission is small. It is true that a lot of folk are out there marketing digital products as well, but these are easier to market than physical products. That is why I recommend them. Marketing is the vital factor in affiliate marketing, and to market effectively you need to build a relationship with people so that they will buy through your link rather than through someone else's. The best way to do this is to offer a free e-book to people who sign up for your list, either on the way to the merchant's account, or as an alternative to buying. You can see that there are several ways of doing this. These are: 1.You intercept the prospect before he goes to the merchant's site, and offer a free report in return for signing up. This can work, but can also lose sales. 2.You just get him or her to sign up, then you promote your affiliate product to the prospect by email. 3.You take the prospect to a page where they have the opportunity of signing up for your report or going to the merchant's site. Of course, you can't always do this. Either you don't have a free report that is suitable, or you don't have an autoresponder service to send out the emails and make sure they comply with anti-spam legislation. You need an autoresponder If you don't have an autoresponder, I recommend you get one, such as Aweber. This is not expensive, and should be the first tool you buy for your affiliate marketing. I admit that I did not do so as early as I should have done and lost a lot of sales. So long as you have an autoresponder and can get some free reports, you can start making money as an affiliate. This is what my affiliate program with affiliate marketing is all about: getting a good affiliate program, which provides you with the things you need to start marketing, and an autoresponder. That's it! Good marketing.
