Affiliate Marketing Seen Through The Eyes Of A Newbie
Affiliate Marketing can be a great way to make money online and has proven to be one of the easiest ways to make money online unless of course you are what they call a "Newbie". The first thing the Newbie does is go straight to Google and types in the phrase "affiliate marketing", thinking they will be magically guided to a few web pages where they can get some instant answers. Much to their dismay, they are starring at search results 1 - 10 of about 14,400,000 web pages. WOW, I didn't expect that. They start reading content on websites and they all say pretty much the same thing. All you need to make money online is a computer, an Internet connection, a small investment of maybe $100 or less, determination and a couple hours a day. This affiliate marketing stuff sounds simple enough. They continue to scour the Internet and eventually find a web page that is giving away a free ebook on "Make 6 Figures In Affiliate Marketing". All they have to do now is enter their first name and email address to get this great free ebook. They do this simple little task and all of a sudden they are smacked right between the eyes with a one time offer for $27, or as they in the business call it, an OTO. After reading the sales copy they are thoroughly convinced that this ebook will make them rich. So what do they do, of course they purchase it. Now they are armed with two great ebooks on affiliate marketing and full of enthusiasm they proceed to read both of them from cover to cover. Now that they have finished reading it's time to take action. The problem is they didn't really understand a lot of what they just read. There were a lot of terms in these ebooks they had never heard of before such as squeeze page, landing page, list building, autoresponder, pay per click and many more. They stop and think, it's been a long day, maybe I'll just call it a day and start fresh tomorrow night after I get home from work. After working all day they come home and relax a bit before eating dinner and then they are off to their computer to start their second day in the affiliate marketing business. The first thing they do is check their email and there's one there from the person they got the free ebook from yesterday. They open the email and this person tells them this great story on how a close personal friend made $27,782 in one month promoting this one product. Just click here and you can learn his "Secret Methods" on how he accomplished this. So they click on the link and are directed to a salespage that gives just enough information to get them all pumped up about how much money this guy's making in affiliate marketing. This looks like a sure thing and they know they can do this, and it's only $37 so they go ahead and purchase their second ebook. Of course before they can download it they must give up their first name and email address once again. Well Newbie, welcome to the world of Affiliate Marketing.
