With foods that we enjoy, we tend to stuff ourselves with them. The problem lies in that these foods tend to be the ones that have many calories and hence adds a load of toxins and weight to our bodies.

The first thing that must be done in order to break a habit of over-stuffing is to know that you have a habit that you need to kick. If you don?t recognize what is bad for you, and what is actually helping you to keep a healthy balance, then it will be hard for you to break. Analyzing and evaluating what your habits are is the first step to success in determining a break in your habits.

After determining this, you can begin to do things by replacement. This is the easiest way to break bad habits. For example, if you have found that you really like eating something that is not good for you, than slowly replace it with a different type of snack or meal. Over time, the habit will be gone and will be replaced by something else. Find out the calories of those foods that you enjoy like your deep fried chicken wings, French fries, potato chips etc. Then, decide on a list of foods that are safe: celery sticks, carrot sticks, fruits, etc. You can?t absolutely put on extra pounds from an overdose of vegetables and fruits. Hence, always keep these healthy items stocked up in your fridge; so that you don?t give yourself an excuse of not having them readily available. Pack your own healthy snack box if you need to.

One of the major factors that should be considered in relation to this is finding the motivation and support in order to be able to move past the bad habit. Often times, the habits that have been formed can be addicting and hard to move past. Finding different techniques, as well as a support group, are both important in breaking the bad habits that you may have.

Another thing that you can do when breaking bad habits and replacing unhealthy things, is to reward yourself. You can do this on a daily or weekly basis, but make sure that you allow yourself an extra privilege for sticking to a nutritious meal. This will allow your brain to respond by knowing that it is doing the right thing. Offering yourself the right support is an important part of making sure that you break bad habits.

Every thing that you eat and do for your weight loss is a choice. It is important to be aware of the choices that you are making and how it relates to your overall health. Recognize that you are overstuffing yourself. Then, have a plan and stick to it. After a while, you will notice that you are feeling better and have more energy for the day.

Breaking habits may seem very hard to do especially in the beginning. However, lose the habit and you will gain much more in fitness, wellness and vitality.
