Everything You Need To Know About Tendinitis
62114 Disease & Illness Jan 31, 2008 adrianadams Everything You Need To Know About Tendinitis Since the content of television shows has become increasingly violent and sexual in nature, the parents around the United States and in most other first world countries began to object back in the 1990's. Eventually, a television ratings system, much like the ratings system used by the Motion Picture Association of America to regulate movie content, was developed and has been used ever since to show what the content level is for any particular TV show. The rating system used in the United States is listed below in its entirety. TV-Y This programming is suitable for all ages, but is particularly aimed at young people ages 2 to 6 years old. Examples include Rugrats, Go Baby, and Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. TV-Y7 This programming is suitable for those children who are at or over the age of 7. Children under the age of 7 are not suggested to watch without adult supervision, since these shows may contain suggestive humor, possibly scary scenes, child level bad words such as dang or crap, and comedic violence. An example would be Aladdin, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Time Warp Trio. TV-Y7-FV These are generally the same as shows that are rated TV-Y7, but they also contain levels of Fantasy Violence that may not be suitable for some children, especially those that are prone to violence due to behavior disorders. One example is Power Rangers and another is Gargoyles. TV-G These programs have been rated as approved for all audiences, even though these programs may not be directed toward children. It may include documentaries, religious programming, some game shows, and early episodes of certain sitcoms, such as The Simpsons, which has become unsuitable for most children to watch the past few years and has received a higher rating. TV-PG These shows are generally not suitable for small children who are watching without a parent. Reality shows are typically given this rating and other shows such as Judge Judy, Goosebumps, Friends, and Ugly Betty. Sub-ratings are also sometimes included to be more specific as to what kind of content is present. TV-14 These programs are unsuitable for children under the age of 14. Sub-ratings used in addition to the TV-PG rating are also used here, but are upgraded in the level of intensity that they specify. V for violence when applied to TV-PG is a lesser level of violence than the V which appears under TV-14. TV-MA This is programming which is never intended to be viewed by children under the age of 17. This show may contain any manner of violence you can imagine, sex, and strong language. Which content is censored depends mostly on the sponsors of the show that is being viewed.
