How To Write A Good Resource Box For Your Articles That People Can't Resist Clicking
57504 Internet > Internet Marketing Nov 29, 2007 teahupoo How To Write A Good Resource Box For Your Articles That People Can't Resist Clicking In the early days of the internet it was very easy to get in the top of the search engines, you could just put up a website loaded up with the keywords you wanted to be found for and you would be found on the first page easily, not any more. In recent years it has become a necessity to learn SEO to succeed in the domination of your niche, or even just to compete. One of the ways that people are using SEO or Search Engine Optimization is by writing articles and submitting them to the article directories with the keywords they want to be found for as the anchor text in their resource boxes. This is an excellent way to collect backlinks from various sites that will help to increase your search engine rankings. The key to a good resource box is to write it to entice people to go to the site you want to promote to get more information on the subject of the article. If you have an article about cars and you have a site that is about car care products you can have a resource box statement that says something like "for more information on the latest SUVs and car care products go to" and then your URL. You can also make the keyword phrase of car care products as anchor text. Okay so what is a resource box? The resource box is the information at the bottom of an article that usually will contain the author's name, maybe a brief bio, and some info on the site you want to promote and the link to it. If you have done a good job on writing the article then you should have readers wanting to click on the link to get more information on the subject matter that you wrote about. The resource box must be just as eye catching as your article in order to get the people reading your articles to click the link of the site you are promoting. You have a very small space to entice the reader to click the link to go to the site you want them to. The resource box may well be the most important part of your article, if you don't have a resource box that stimulates clicks then all you have done is provided free information that does nothing for you. I don't know about you but I am not writing just for the pure joy of writing. As I mentioned the anchor text keywords that you choose are crucial because that is what will be used to find you in the search engines. It is best to use the longer tail keywords in the beginning so that you can get some kind of presence. As an example you wouldn't want to go after the term "sports car" but maybe you could get a ranking for Honda hybrid sports car.
