Along with this, I have outlined some of the strategies that help in getting more free traffic to your website. 1. Create backlinks Creating as many backlinks as possible that leads to your website is a great way to increase traffic to your site. This can be done easily by submitting your website URL to all leading link directories. Search for Link Directory using your favorite search engine to get started. 2. Write Articles Write good articles related to your website, and submit it to sites such as scribd. Then, include a link to your website at the bottom of the article in the resource box. By doing this, people will come and read your articles, and click on your link at the bottom. Then, there are chances that they would probably put your article on their website, and people form their website will see the link and click on it. Not only is this traffic free, but highly targeted. 3. Blogs and Forums Go to discussion forums and blogs related to your website and post comments in such a way that it contributes towards the discussion than just appear like an advertisement. By including a link to your website in your signature, people will see it and once again click on it and visit your website. More the number of blogs/forums you post comments, more the targeted visitors to your website. 4. Affiliate Programs Joint Venture or affiliate programs are like a partnership. In this all you have to do is come up with new innovative methods to attract the mass by paying heavy commissions. The ways in which you promote this is by submitting the affiliate programs to affiliate directories. 5. Social Networking Sites Through Social networking sites like MySpace, Squidoo and Friendster you can promote your products. Moreover you can find lot of groups related to your business or interest. Join them and see the traffic flow into your website for yourself. Along with these, also DO NOT forget to use search engine optimization techniques to generate more traffic to your website. This can be easily done with KEYWORD optimization in all the content you create for promotion and on pages of your website.
