Some people buy games and toys for more than entertainment. They buy electronic games to gain a competitive edge over an opponent by spending several hours a day practicing game tactics over and over again. After a while, they are knowledgeable about how characters move and have learned to develop strategies to win that were not included in the game software. Electronic games and toys have brightened minds because the skills that these electronics develop will help people gain a competitive edge over those that choose not to participate in games that they consider silly. Some of these people might not be very creative when they grow up because they lacked the initiative to be creative when they were a child. Many parents see electronic games and toys as more than a way to rid themselves of parental responsibilities for a few hours. They see these games in a totally different light than a child would. These electronic games can be used by parents to help their child integrate into discussion groups and form a social circle that has already been approved because the parents have already met these children in their home. Children have received many hours of entertainment from toys that are equipped with electronic controllers. Some of the electronic toys are radio controlled cars and others are form filled characters that roam about as robots and surprise opponents by wrecking hastily constructed towers that fall apart almost magically. Children learn to control these robots and how to operate mechanical machines. There are many electronic puzzles that people buy to provide entertainment while traveling. These puzzles make people develop problem solving skills that will serve them well later in life. Some of those skills will come in handy when they play the electronic video games with several people at one time. It is amazing how one learn skill can be useful and practical in many situations throughout life. Some children learn to read and write by following the commands on an educational toy. There are many children whose lives have been brightened considerably because an electronic keyboard inspired them to learn more about music and the music industry as a whole. These same people might one day choose to write music and develop the soundtracks for musical CD's that make them or someone else a superstar overnight. Many minds have been enlightened by the adventure contained in video games. Children have learned to enhance their concentration factors and have showed great improvement by using these qualities more in a school settings. Some people might think that video games are only electronic toys but there are many bright individuals who developed those toys and have made a good living from something that some consider as only child's play.
