Articles that offer writing tips are well accepted by internet users, as many internet users are also writers, most of which are in need of advice and information. A large portion of internet users are college students and website owners. Webmasters uses article marketing as a tool to get more exposure for their websites and many college students are faced with writing requirements being a prerequisite for graduation. Writing an article on writing tips should offer readers clear, easy to follow instructions on how to reach a particular writing goal. Using proven examples that you have tested is usually the way to go when writing a tips article. Current Events Many writers get their article ideas from watching their local news. Most of these writers figure, if it is news worthy, maybe it is also something worth writing on. Depending on how major the news is, the search engines will be flooded with queries requesting more information on the topic. Writers use this to get some immediate exposure. The only disadvantage to writing on current events is news usually have a very short life span. Today, the stock market may be the news of the day, tomorrow, it may be gas prices. When writing an article on a current event, it would be a good idea to offer some type of useful, everyday advice. For example, for the last couple of years, high gas prices have been a major issue in the news. Simply writing an informative article about high gas prices may not be enough. Instead, an article on how to reduce your gas consumption may be more appealing and is likely to still be in demand years later, even if gas prices are no longer a major issue.
