He will also be looking into possible eye problems caused by age, injury or disease. The eye exam can also on a limited scale detect diseases like hypertension, diabetes and neurological diseases. Tests will also be conducted to check if your eyes can see clearly, have the ability to focus and on whether prescription for corrective eyewear is at all necessary. Tests will also be conducted for binocular function which will determine if you eyes have the ability to work together whether at near or far distances. Tests on peripheral vision, depth perception and vision clarity at varying distances are also conducted. After a thorough examination, your eye doctor will make a diagnosis and will lay out a treatment plan if necessary. Necessary treatments such as prescribed corrective eyewear or vision therapy will be recommended to intervene with any eye and health related conditions. Choose your eye doctor wisely to ensure that you are getting top quality eye examination. Get an overall feel of the eye doctor and see if he performed the tests skillfully.
