Using Online Video
43752 Internet > Audio-Video Streaming Aug 22, 2007 kokuj1n Using Online Video With the incredible increase in the rise of technology and of internet marketing, the opportunity to get the word out about yourself or your product or service is greater than ever before. And unless you've been hiding under a rock during the past couple of years, no doubt you've heard about the use of online video. In fact, if you're a tech-savvy person, you've probably already watched streaming video online at least one. Now having realized the potential that's available by having your own online video, you've probably been wondering, "What could I do to have my own video on a webpage as part of my internet marketing strategies?" If you are a marketer then you have probably already come to this conclusion. The big question that you may have then is how can you use online video to help grow your business and accomplish your objectives. One of the easiest ways to create your own online video is to use material from your own products. The type of product that your streaming video relates to does not really matter; what matters is that we as human being liked to be communicated to in the audio, visual and kinesthetic means and video on a webpage caters for our natural human tendencies. If you don't have your own product, then, depending upon the type of rights associated with it or by getting permission from the author, you could use content from a product you've purchased. Now considering your own product, if you've done a teleseminar this would be a perfect choice for using with your online video. The teleseminar is already in audio format, and you could segment it to use in successive streaming video episodes. You could choose to use highlights with various pieces of video on a webpage as a lead-in for your listeners to purchase and/or learn more about your quality product or service. Another idea for online video content is to use audios from seminars that you've attended or have conducted. If you've hosted your own seminar, then there's no problem with product rights. Otherwise, before going this route it would be best to determine what rights you have to use the seminar's content and to make sure that the attendees have signed the appropriate release documents. If you're still wondering how to create content for creating your online video, don't forget public domain content. Government publications and works written in the early 1900's are a good place to start. Find a topic that offers information that would be of interest to your target audience and use it in your online video for communication the message about your product or service to your end user customer. Finally, there's the "evergreen" method for creating original content for your online video, doing an interview. Contact a recognized expert in your target audience's niche and ask to do an interview with him or her. It's a great way for the expert to get the word out about his or her products and area of expertise without spending a dime. Your guest gets free exposure and, if you've come up with a series of interesting and thought-provoking questions, you get killer content for your streaming video. You can structure your online video in sections with say powerpoint slides and use snippets of the teleseminar interview to explain the key points of your presentation. In this stage of the evolution of internet marketing; online video is only growing to grow and grow so it makes sense to take hold of the new technologies and use more and more online video as part of your internet marketing strategies to communicate more effectively with your customers and; to generate more revenue from your product and services.
