How Postbag Smiles evolved
1) What is Postbag Smiles?
We stock and supply hundreds of different greeting cards for all different occasions. We offer the service of writing the card for you, with your chosen message, and send it to the destination of your choice, worldwide. There?s gifts too!
2) How did it come about?
It came about because I like the convenience of sending e cards for friend?s birthdays or other occasions. I believe the receiving of a card is a joyous thing that shows you care. But the one thing I don?t like as the recipient is having nothing physically to display. Can you imagine a Christmas full of ecards received, but a totally cardless house? What a bleak thought!
3) How do you find the cards?
We go to trade fairs and see al the small designers/suppliers, and choose which ones we like and want to supply. Most of these you won?t see in card shops, as they tend to go for larger companies that supply in bulk. Some of these bigger companies wouldn?t supply to us, because they believed it would threaten their trade with the shops, believing that we can undercut shop prices as they?ve got the cost of the shop to run. I?d rather stock cards from smaller suppliers, who are trying to grow their business, and who design the cards themselves. It?s more personal.
4) You mentioned Gifts ? where are they from?
The gifts currently are supplied from companies in Jersey, as the author grew up there. Jersey carnations, jersey roses, jersey fudge, and also a supplier of Belgian chocolates. All the gifts are of the highest quality, and the Belgian chocolates are absolutely scrummy!
5) Are their any other benefits to the site?
We do offer some other services within the business:-
Same day despatch on greeting cards (if order placed by midday)
UK postage for greeting cards is FREE
Free reminder service ? just complete the form and we?ll remind you of an occasion via email
Free personal address book ? you can store friends & families details in address book, when you place an order take details from there.

Postbag Smiles motto is ?We remember, we deliver cards that make you smile?
That?s exactly what I think a greeting card does. It drops through the door unexpected with a little note to brighten someone?s day. They open it, with a warm smile on their face, pop it on the mantel, and every time they see it over the next few days as they pass, and they smile inside! We?re a business that sends smiles in envelopes, what could be better.
