If it's not your job to plan the actual baby shower, you can still help to come up with baby shower game ideas everyone can play. Start by thinking about the guests that will be there. What games would they enjoy? What games are they able to play (if you have older guests)? Here's one simple baby shower game that everyone can play, but only the mother to be wins. Take a gift that's for the mom to be and wrap it in several layers of wrapping paper. On each layer, you will want to give clues as to who will unwrap the next layer of paper. At the end, the last clue in this shower game will lead to the mom who will get to unwrap the gift for her self. This game also works well for bridal showers and other parties where a game is appropriate. A great baby shower game that will have everyone laughing and meeting each other is the baby food tasting game. Pick out a few baby foods and have little samples of each on plates that are passed around to the guests. As each guests tests the foods, they will write down their guesses on a piece of paper. Yes, squash and carrots are guaranteed to make people turn up their nose, but that's half the fun anyways. Try to pick different fruity ones or ones that you know people will like to laugh at. Peas are always a fun one to pass around. A little gift can go to the one that gets them all right. While this doesn't fit into the typical free shower game guidelines, this is truly a heart warming game that can help an already burdened mother. If the mom has not picked out a name for the baby, the guests can address the gifts with suggested names. This often leads to wonderful stories about how the names were chosen and why they're special. Often times, the mother may end up choosing one of these names, making this a special game that is helpful as well. A baby shower game is a great way to bring your guests together and ensure that they have a lot of fun. And no one will turn down a free gift in the process.
