Silk robes act like a secondary garment to cover the sleeping clothes of a person. Later on, robes made of microfibers were made available in the market. The use of microfibers as a robe material tends to speed up the absorption of water as well as provide the feel of smoothness to the skin similar to the effect of the silk material. The breathable quality of a robe is an important thing to consider when looking for a robe. Robes when worn should not be clingy on skin to keep the wearer feeling fresh in spite of the wrap. Aside from the three common types of materials used for making robes, the type of weaving pattern can also have an effect on the robe's breathability and effectiveness in absorption of water. Aside from these features, the kind of weaving pattern is important to control the softness and lightweight quality of a bath robe. In summary, robe users have a choice on the type of robe they prefer. They can choose between cotton, silk or microfibers. A microfiber robe is the best bet since it possesses good characteristics of both cotton and silk; however, traditionalists prefer cotton while highly fashionable people will most likely to buy a silk robe. Though the weaving pattern has an effect on the characteristics of a robe, the kind of material used is more important. In the final analysis, the right robe for you will be the one that meets your own personal list of criteria. You will want one that is soft enough, that is the right length and is large or small enough to have a comfortable fit, and that makes you feel like relaxing and enjoying yourself for a period of time. When you find a robe that will accomplish these three things for you, then make sure you grab it. There is no reason to let the right type of robe pass you by.
