Your cat will not take kindly to being denied access to the litter tray from time to time and will eventually quit trying. All it will take to make the tray off limits from your cat's perception is one or two unexpected interruptions, and you will begin to notice that the tray is not where your cat chooses to take care of business. A cat litter tray makes it easier for your cat to practice good hygiene, as well as making it easier for you to take proper care of your cat. Make sure you place the tray in a spot that your cat can reach at all times, but is away from most common areas of the house, and you will both be very happy.
