There are a plethora of options available to musicians in the music industry that were never there before. The Internet can't be overlooked and any independent music artist without a website would be looked on as very unusual. A website will create the issue of how much of your music you offer for free and in which format you should offer it. If you can afford to record your music to you have the option to create and market your own albums through shows, websites, independent music distribution and mail order. Licensing is another option you can choose. This is where you allow a label to manufacture and promote your recordings in a certain country or countries in return for a slice of pie.
