A downside though would be the required medical exam and a clause on your pre-existing conditions (which is usually not covered). Available also is short term health insurance coverage most ideal for people who are still in between jobs but who would soon be starting regular work. This is affordable and works on the same principle as your typical health insurance plan but covers you for only a specified period. A source of affordable health insurance that is basically overlooked by most people is organization membership group insurance. These organizations don't help you pay your health insurance premiums but with the group discount given you can expect lower rates. Gather all the available options that you have and choose the best health insurance plan that suits your needs and fits your budget.
