You are renting out your time and energy to your employer, and he or she pays you for what he thinks you are worth. Which, of course, is as little as possible. It is their job. The hold on your time, creativity and other efforts is so tight that you can only escape this situation by starting your own online internet business and working from your home. You would now have no ceiling on your income. As an employee, there are limits as to what you can earn. Often there are pay structures that your industry generally conforms to, and your rewards will mostly be limited to what your boss thinks you are worth.
