Cash sales flow results from a single sales action by you the business owner. It may take you a long time and or lots of brain and physical work to get the first sale from someone. Once you get that first sale from a customer the next critical action you want to take is to get a continuous flow of honest and legitimate income from him or her. You have gone to the trouble of making a sale and you never, ever want to forget someone who buys something from you. To be a success and make a profit in any business you always want to structure your residual income to get repeat sales as long as possible. So your efforts to get the first sale from a patron can be repeated many times if you start thinking of ways to get repeat sales before you make the next sale. This makes your profits for you, in the first instance, and gets you repeat profits over and over again with far less effort. It is far easier for you to get a sale from someone who is satisfied with a purchase from you, and now trusts you, than it is to get a sale from a stranger. For example I buy health and nutrition products from two different sources, over and over, for years and years now because they asked me to. That is it! The easiest way to get repeat satisfied sales is to ask the customer to buy again, if they are satisfied in the first place. Frequently they give me little discounts off my purchase price to entice me to keep buying from them. Sometimes they will give me a rebate without telling me about it, before I buy from them, after making the sale. Frequently they keep building their residual income with me by discounting shipping of products to me. They always send information with every order I make with them telling me how smart I am for buying their products from them and why their products are so good. You can structure any business to get repeat sales if you brain storm the idea of residual income you can make from it. In the note business you can go back to a satisfied customer you helped to sell a real estate or other asset note every few months and offer them a finder fee for sending other note customers to you. Make friends with them and find out their income model money stories. This is a form of structuring your business to get repeat sales. It can be that easy. In the digital media field, if someone bought one product from you and you find out they were satisfied with their purchase, when you follow up with them, what do you do? Right! You say, hey, I have a neat newsletter about products or an rss feed that I can send you about my new and related old products that goes out every few weeks. It is free and I give some small discounts on these if you ever wish to buy something. Can I add you to my list? Do you see how repeat sales, business building and residual income time and business investment all go hand in hand? For example, say that someone buys a digital media network product from you, likes it, and tells someone over the lunch table at work about it. You will get valuable word of mouth advertising. This is cheap and should always be rewarded in any business you are in. It grows by itself. This is viral marketing and they will tell friends and family about your products also. More people will tell more people and your free advertising multiplies. When customers know, like and trust you the word will get out and multiply as more people tell more people about you. You will get steady repeat business in your residual income program as long as you nurture it and take care of your customers. This will be guaranteed to you by your good service and following up with your customers to learn how they feel about your products and what else they want from them that is not provided yet. This is the secret. Affiliate work, steady follow up, improving and adding on new products to your web sites. Babying your customers. You can use electronic customer cards that provide discounts and benefits to loyal customers. The better the customer the better the extra benefits to them. Showing them that they are appreciated and important to you and recognizing their importance will keep them coming back to you. To overlook repeat business with the impact that it will have on your business is a serious mistake, even fatal. Have you learned why residual income is important to you now?
