Paid surveys are surveys that companies offer online to consumers with specific demographic information. As the name suggests, if you are sent such a survey and you complete it, you will receive payment. Similarly, paid e-mails are e-mails that you are paid to read. To gain access to paid surveys or e-mails, you will probably have to join specific sites that act as middlemen for different companies. Some of these sites are free; but many of them ask for registration fees or perhaps a monthly fee to keep you in their database. As long as you keep paying their fees, you will keep receiving surveys aimed at your particular demographic group. For example, if a company is researching on ways to improve its lipstick products, it will obviously only send that survey to women, usually those within 18-65 years of age. Transcription work. Transcription is now a booming industry, and you have decent listening and typing skills, you can make quite a bit of money here. Transcription is simply putting down on paper what you hear on an audio file. For example, a doctor who wishes to have a hardcopy of his taped voice recordings will hire someone to do the job. That person will listen to the tape and type down what is said there, present the finished product, and get paid. Transcription is a good opportunity for many because of a few simple reasons. First, transcription jobs are readily available. The law and medical professions specifically need such services. Second, an increase in the transcriber's efficiency will result in an immediate increase in rewards, since payments are usually made according to the volume of work finished. For example, if a transcriber has a 50,000 word project worth $1000 dollars, and he types at a rate of 20 words per minute, he will finish the project in 2500 minutes, or roughly 42 hours. He would earn about $24 dollars at that rate. But if he can type at a rate of 40 words per minute, he will finish the project in 1250 minutes, or roughly 21 hours. He would have then earned $48 dollars per hour. Obviously, speed wins in transcription. Affiliate Programs. Affiliate programs are programs that allow you to sell someone else's product or service and get a commission. To earn money through an affiliate program, you will first need to sign up with a merchant partner. Then you will need to build a website catered to a niche market. After that, you will simply promote the products of your partner merchant in your site, and provide links for your site to theirs. If you have done a good job pre-selling your partner's products, purchases will be made, and you will receive a commission for your trouble. There are many more ways to make money on the Internet, don't stop here. The important thing is that you get started. Start exploring what the Web has to offer, and you might be surprised at how much money you can make, even in your spare time!
