Bridal showers began as parties where the future bride would get gifts that she would need in her life with her husband. But this was in times where they got married much younger and before they lived on their own and had much of these things all ready. Many of the men also have a lot of these things all ready as well. Also, many of today's showers are themed. The shower may be making sure that the couple has everything that they need to have a kitchen set up and ready to go but it could also be to make sure that they have everything they need to go on a lifetime of camping, hunting, or fishing trips. Whatever the case may be it is the invitation that will tell the guests what the theme is and what type of gift they should bring. Since the invitation is going to tell the person invited what type of gift to bring, especially if it is a theme type of shower it is of utmost importance to first consider the design of the invitation. There are definitely quite a few options that you can consider here. One of the first things that you could consider doing is to look at the wedding invitations. You could send out similar invitations or at the very least stick with the general "theme" of the wedding. If the bridal shower has a specific theme of its own however, you will want to consider that theme rather than worrying about the theme of the wedding invitation. You may be as creative as you wish here. If your theme would be you could make it look like a tent etc. Many stores now carry creative scissors, stickers, paper, etc. to help you be creative in designing an invitation; much of this is because of the surge in popularity of scrap booking. While the outside design or look of the invitation is important the inside design, or the wording of the invitation is perhaps even more important. The most important thing on this invitation is going to be the name of the bride. It is quite important that you have the correct spelling of the name. Having the correct date and time of the shower is also of great importance. Make sure that the location of the shower is well explained. While many people will know the location there are always some people who are not familiar with the area. Giving complete directions is absolutely essential even when you think that they are aware of how to get there. Be sure to give correct and current RSVP information. It is possible that the person sending the invitations or having the shower is someone different than the person who is tracking the RSVP so it is important to be sure that the information is correctly supplied so that it can be correctly transmitted between the correct parties. While it can be easy to forget to consider the color of the print on the invitation is also important to think about it. It is not necessary to always print it in black but it is important to make sure that the print will show up on the color of the card that it is printed on. There are many places online that you can order invitations online that have selections that you cannot find on paper. Many of them have things that you can choose from that you normally. In fact, buying them online can be far less time consuming considering that you may have to shopping the entire day to get what you want.
