How To Remember A Deceased Mother on Mother's Day
Your love and admiration for the woman who brought you into this world does not stop when she crosses over into that other realm. The spiritual bond between you and her will never be broken, but the physical separation from the Mother you love so dear can be especially painful at times. Mother's day can be a time of the year that is painful for those of us who have lost our earthly Mom's. Your Mother was more than just a Mother. She was also friend, confidant, teacher, nurse, counselor, cheerleader, and so much more. Mom sacrificed her wants and needs because the happiness and security of her children held the most importance for her. She greatly influenced you and your world will never be quite the same as it was when she was here. How do remember and honor such an inspirational and dearly loved woman as your Mother, even after she has passed from this earth? By honoring the memory of her and all that she taught you and the gifts she gave you on this and every Mother's day. There are several meaningful ways in which you can remember her and express your love, admiration, and gratitude for having been blessed with the Best Mother in the world. There is really no wrong way to honor the memory of your Mother as long as it comes from your heart and represents the feelings you will always have about your Mom. Make your own handcrafted flowers or purchase some lovely silk flowers and affix a different sentiment to each petal. The sentiments can represent who your Mother was and what she still means to you. Feelings can relate to your love for her, her inspiration to you, and the joy she brought into your life. Place this floral arrangement in a prominent place in your home and each time you pass by you can pause and remember and thank your Mom for all she gave to you. You can also items of remembrance to be placed at your Mother's gravesite that can withstand the weather. Your local floral shop will usually have a few basket selections made out of resin or stone materials for cemetery use. If you would like something that would be appropriate not just for Mothers day, but for every day of the year, consider a solar powered angel that can be staked to the ground and casts a never-ending glowing light and outline of an angel on your Mother's grave Lighting scented candles, filling a basket with special remembrances, having a family gathering for a meal using her favorite recipes or creating a memory book of treasured photographs are all ways in which you can remember and honor your Mother. Lastly, remember the good times you shared, be thankful that you had such a loving Mother and be happy because that is what she would want.
